Reddit Marketing for Agencies

By

Agencies have a different challenge than product companies. You're selling services, not software. Your expertise is your product. Reddit works for agencies, but the approach is different.

Find your clients where they ask

Business owners don't go to Reddit looking for agencies. They go looking for solutions to problems. That's where you find them.

Someone posts in r/smallbusiness about their website traffic dropping. You know SEO. Offer genuinely helpful advice. Don't pitch your agency. Don't even mention your services. Just help.

When someone asks about a problem you solve, that's your opening. But only after you've established yourself as someone who actually knows things.

Share work, not pitches

The best agency content on Reddit shows work, not talks about it. Screenshots of results. Case studies that are honest about what worked and what didn't. Before and after examples.

Nobody cares that you're an agency with ten years of experience. They care that you solved a problem similar to theirs. Show, don't tell.

Be specific about your expertise

Agencies make the mistake of being too broad. "We do digital marketing" doesn't resonate. "We help SaaS companies reduce customer churn through better onboarding emails" — that's specific. That attracts exactly who you want to work with.

Your Reddit presence should reflect that specificity. Comment in communities where that specific expertise matters. Answer questions where your knowledge is actually relevant.

The slow burn works

Agency clients aren't impulse buys. They research, compare, ask around. A Reddit presence that builds over months pays off when they're ready to hire. They remember the helpful person they saw in a thread six months ago.

This takes patience most agencies don't have. But the clients who come through that way are warmer and more qualified than almost any other source.
